They looks the famous Manneken-Pis in the city of Brussels, wearing Tengu-mask.

奥能登国際芸術祭2017 /Oku-Noto Triennale2017site: 奥能登国際芸術祭2017 旧小泊保育所, 石川/Oku-Noto Triennale2017material: mixed mediasize: availableリサーチの際に閉鎖された旧小泊保育所に残されていた、手作りの牛の玩具を見つけました。その玩具を20倍の大きさ大きさに拡大しました。この地区の原子力発電所建設計画は無くなってしまいましたが、もし建設されていたら、こんな無害な顔をしたPRセンターが併設されたかもしれないというシミュレーションです。牛の尻の穴から中に入ることができて、内部では海岸に漂着していた廃棄物等で構成された箱庭を鑑賞することができます。園庭にも遊具等で構成した白昼夢のような庭が広がります。撮影: 阪中隆文

2016 大邱現代芸術祭 in Gangjeong/2016 Daegu Contemporary Art Festival in Gangjeonsite: The ARC、韓国、大邱/The ARC, Daegu, Koreamaterial:ターポリン幕、単管パイプ、プラスティック、他/steel, banner, plastic objectssize: W6 × H2 × D2.5 (m)日本の天狗と韓国のトケビとを、長い鼻でつないだ造形物。緑と赤の鼻は、二つの国の日用品で構成されています。両者とも、民間伝承や自然崇拝に基づいていたり、正確な定義や由来がわからなかったりする部分などに共通点があります。Focusing on two characters - Tokebi from Korea and Tengu from Japan, you may find something in common.Although both of them are derived from animism or folk region, their specific roots still remain a mystery.In this work, they are connected through their noses with daily objects from Japan and Korea.It represents a bridge between two countries.

さっぽろアートステージ2014 ART STREET/Sapporo Art Stage 2014 ART STREETsite: 札幌駅前通地下歩行空間北3条交差点広場 (西 ) , 札幌/Sapporo Underground Pedestrian Space Station Road, Sapporomaterial: ビニール袋、扇風機、LED/plastic bag, electric fans, LEDsize: W7×H3×D2 (m)公共空間である地下歩行交通路に出現した6体の天狗です。フワフワと浮かびながら、その長い鼻をアンテナのように動かして何かを感じ取ろうとしています。There are six Tengu’s masks at the Sapporo Underground Pedestrian Space Station Road, the noses of which look like one kind of feelers or antennae reacting to streams of passengers, traffics, electric waves, or information etc… in this city.

すすきの夜のトリエンナーレ 2014―コインの裏/Susukino Biennale 2014site: 第21桂和ビル, 札幌/No.21 Keiwa building, Sapporomaterial: ビニール袋、扇風機、LED/plastic bag, electric fans, LEDsize: W7×H3×D10(m)東京以北最大の歓楽街であるすすきのの、閉店した高級スナックを会場にした展覧会です。内装もそのままの部屋に、ビニール袋で作られた大きな天狗の面が6体鎮座しています。中にはLEDの電飾と扇風機が仕込まれており、長い鼻を伸ばして静かに揺れています。The place is a former nightclub which was used for male customers to have fun with the female hostess.The decorations, furniture, and paraphernalia of the club still remain.There are six large masks of Tengu made from plastic bags with red lighting. Its long noses are supported by the air from electric fans.These noses are a one kind of metaphor of the something which happened between men and women in this bar.

Re:送っていただけませんか？展/Re: Okutteitadakemasenka?site: 500m美術館, 札幌/Sapporo Odori 500-m Underground Walkway Gallery, Sapporomaterial: 映像、写真、マスキングテープ/movie, photos, tapesize: W4×H2×D0.1 (m)movie: 4:20相手天狗の鼻を先に掴んだ方が勝ち、もしくは地に着いた足の裏が離れたら負け、それが鼻掴み相撲です。札幌で行われた鼻掴み相撲トーナメントの勝者とバングラデシュはチッタゴンで行われたこのトーナメントの勝者の決勝戦が、いつかどこかで開催されるかもしれません。I invented a new game which called the Tengu battle.I asked and encourage the local people to play this game, and i took the movie in Bangladesh and Japan.These two videos were displayed on one wall.Tengu is an imaginary supernatural being we can find in Japanese folk religion.They have a long nose, so I decided to have a rule that the first one to touch the opponent’s nose, will win the game.The rule is common and can easily be followed but the viewer needs to spot the difference in every different location.This will be composed of different cultures, religions, geographical, and historical events.But we will spot some common points, by pointing out some common gestures, behaviors and actions as a human being.Throughout this game, we will be able to spot the difference and the commonalities of each and every culture.

東方悠平展 ‘死なないM浦Y一郎 The Skiing Dead’site: Art Center Ongoing, 東京/Art Center Ongoing, Tokyo, Japanmaterial: 鉄、モーター、映像、他/steel, motor, movie, otherssize: W4×H2.5×D3 (m)鉄の雪山を鉄のスキーで滑走する最高齢にして不死身のスキーヤーM浦Y一郎です。振動する鉄の板の物質感を体感します。エベレストからの下山の際に必要な減速のためのパラシュートには雪の積もった札幌の街と雪中に暮らすアルパカの映像が投影されています。Yuchiro Miura who is a Japanese famous adventure and skier is a motif of this statue.He has a world record of old age climbing the Everest. 東方悠平×小田原のどか'Signals’ 展/signals-Yuhei Higashikata & Nodoka Odawarasite: Art Center Ongoing, 東京/Art Center Ongoing, Tokyo, Japanmaterial: 鉄、柔道着、電球、スピーカー、MP-3プレーヤー、Aruduino/steel, Judo-Suit, light, Audio Player, Aruduinosize: W4.5×H2.3×D1 (m)公共ルールと逸脱について。信号機の点滅に合わせて、気合いを入れるかけ声が繰り返されます。These are three signalmen have signal lamps instead of heads.The signal lamps blink on and off constantly so spectators can’t judge whether they should go or wait. In addition to this, the signalmen wear judo suits each dyed in one of three colors. And they shout cries from Judo training.

神戸ゴミタワー/Kobe Scrap Tower, 2011. 10

神戸ビエンナーレ2011 しつらいアート国際コンペディション(奨励賞) /Kobe Biennale 2011 International competition -encouragement award-site: ポーアイしおさい公園, 神戸/Poai Shiosai Park, Kobematerial: 鉄、廃材、他/steel, scrap, otherssize: W2×H7×D2 (m)ゴミでできたタワーです、観光スポットである、背後に見える神戸ポートタワーと同じ形をしています。This tower mimics the structure of a famous tower within Kobe tourism. This artwork is made of scraps and rubbish and such. From one perspective, people can see both towers at once. The artwork is located in a park in the new reclaimed land created from scraps and rubbishes. I was also inspired by the heap of rubble from the Japan Earthquake. This exhibition was held from 1st October to 23rd November, 2011 in Kobe as part of the “Kobe Biennale”.撮影: 中村脩 (一部)

TERATOTERA祭り’POST’,site: 吉祥寺PARCO 屋上, 東京/ Kitijyoji PARCO, Tokyomaterial: 鉄木モーター電球スピーカー MP-3プレーヤー/steel, light, wood, motor, Audio Playersize: W3×H3×D3 (m)寂れたデパートの屋上遊園地のように、鉄でできたキュウリとナスの精霊馬からなるメリーゴーラウンドが、回転し続けます。モーツァルト「恋とはどんなものかしら？(フィガロの結婚)」のオルゴール曲が鳴っています。Obon is the Festival of Souls in Japan. In this festival a variety of foods are offered to the spirits of ancestors, and we pray for their repose. It looks like a roundabout from an amusement park, and revolves slowly along with a quiet melody from music-box. Instead of horses, these are horse-like creatures made of vegetables, cucumber and eggplant. In Japan we believe our ancestors ride these horses to meet us at this festival. At this artwork, these horses are made from steel.

So the individual locks of his coiled hair are scattered in front of the museum as installation objects. When this art work was made, I was living in Tsukuba City. It is famous for space technology development. So there is a model of an H-2 rocket in the central park. In addition to this, the largest figure of Buddha in the world is in Ushiku City, which is next to Tsukuba City. So these things are real.
